Customers Are Now Urged To Wear Face Masks In All Costco Canada Stores

Update – Local News

In a new statement on their website, the wholesale company is urging shoppers to do their part to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Costco Canada customers are asked to wear masks “at all times” when on the company’s premises, in accordance with new national guidelines.

In a notice on their website on May 21, the wholesale store explained, “Public health experts recommend the use of masks or face coverings in public settings.”

“To protect our members and employees, it is recommended that all Costco members and guests wear a mask or face covering that covers the mouth and nose, at all times while on Costco premises.

The company noted that this new request does not apply to children under the age of two, or to individuals who are unable to wear a mask due to a medical condition

Speaking on Wednesday, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Theresa Tam explained, “If you’re wearing it, you’re protecting other people against your droplets.”

The prime minister is also now ensuring he has his mask handy, even when he’s working on Parliament Hill.

He told reporters on Wednesday, “In situations where I’m either walking through the halls of Parliament or going to my office and coming into proximity with people, I’ve chosen to start wearing a mask.”

Greece Is Reopening To Tourists This Summer

Update – Travel

International travel could be on the cards sooner than expected. This week, the prime minister of Greece announced that the country would be reopening to international tourists as early as July 1.

Air Canada is offering a number of flights to Greece this summer, although it’s important to remember that an active travel advisory remains in place.

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis revealed that the southeastern European country would be reopening to tourists this summer, with plans to welcome international visitors as early as July 1, on Wednesday.

While the company’s website suggests there’s a temporary airport suspension in Athens, a representative from Air Canada has confirmed to Narcity that this is no longer the case.*

“We are planning a restart and intend to fly to Greece as of the end of June,” they added.

In addition, it’s worth noting that Canadian travellers are still currently required to quarantine when returning from abroad, so even if you don’t have to isolate upon arrival in Greece, you will when you return home!

In an attempt to boost potential tourism, Mitsotakis also announced that vacation costs would be lowered for all visitors for the next five months.

This means that boat, plane and bus tickets would be reduced, and taxes on coffee, soft drinks and tickets for open-air cinemas would be slashed.

The Nordic island announced plans to start easing international travel no later than June 15, and flights are already available from Canada.

Many Canadian airlines continue to suspend flights into the summer, some international carriers are preparing to restart operations ASAP.

In fact, Emirates are set to resume international flights to Toronto this week.

Samsung has unveiled a tactical Galaxy S20 made specially for the military.

This news comes just a week after Samsung introduced its Galaxy Fold Lite, which is similarly limited in that just 55,000 units will be available.

The new phone boasts two layers of complex encryption that secures classified data and it connects to various mission systems and communication devices like tactical radios.
Another function, called “Stealth Mode,” switches off LTE and all RF broadcasts to prevent eavesdropping.

The phone comes with a 1440p display at approximately six inches, 12GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 865 processor, 128GB of storage and a 4,000mAh battery. All of these features are supported by thick rugged casing with a foldable shield that protects the screen.

Though no official release dates have been disclosed, Samsung’s Tactical Galaxy S20 will be available around Q3 this year at “select IT channel partners.”

levis golden ticket 501 release big e small buy cop purchase 501 day beams tyler the creator gold wang details information

Levi’s has revealed its latest release to celebrate 501 day. The new “Golden Ticket” jeans celebrates the 1971 change from a big “E” to a small “e” on the classic Levi’s Red Tab. To this day, big “E” jeans are a collectors item across the world.

To mark this shift — and the big “E” jeans’ status — Levi’s has produced 501 pairs of the 1971 501 jean. 496 of these pairs of jeans will feature the more-common small “e,” while the remaining five will sport the sought-after big “E” tag.

The Red Tabs, however, will be wrapped in golden foil, meaning that the only way to discover the rarity of the jeans is to buy them and unwrap the foil.

The “Golden Ticket” 1971 501 Jeans will be releasing in Europe via the Levi’s web store from June 4.

Simons is getting ready to reopen the remainder of its locations. The popular department store has outlined specific procedures customers will have to follow once it opens its doors in the Montreal area on May 25.

The Simons stores in Gatineau, Quebec City, and Sherbrooke opened on May 19.

First, only a limited number of customers will be allowed in a store at a time. This number will vary according to the capacity of each location.

Customers will also find “well-defined waiting areas” as well as “disinfecting stations” throughout the store.

Fitting rooms will remain open but will accommodate a fixed number of customers at a time. Employees will disinfect fitting rooms after every use and steam used clothes before returning them to the floor.

Customers are also asked to “limit [their] touching and handling of the clothing as much as possible while shopping throughout the store.”

At checkout, “the use of cash has been suspended until further notice.”

“Contactless payment is authorized” for purchases of “up to $250 for credit cards and $100 for Interac.”

customers will be required to wash their hands both as they enter and as they exit the store.

Across the province, store hours have been reduced. The two Montreal locations (on rue Sainte-Catherine and in the Galeries d’Anjou) will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
