Former U.S. Olympic and national team coach Maggie Haney received an eight-year suspension form USA Gymnastics on Wednesday for verbal emotional abuse against her gymnasts, according to The Orange County Register’s Scott Reid.

Haney, once one of the country’s most prominent gymnastics coaches, was found by a USA Gymnastics hearing panel to have failed to “to provide a safe, positive and healthy environment with a culture of trust and empowerment.”

She was also found to have “engaged in severe aggressive behavior toward a minor that included teasing and ridiculing that was intended to control and diminish another person.”

The decision comes almost four years after Hernandez filed her first abuse complaints against Haney to a USA Gymnastics official in 2016.

This Teenager Created the Online Shopping Bot Fueling Nintendo Switch Shortages

A 16-year old reseller in Virginia, Alexandria created a digital checkout tool called Bird Bot that’s fuelled Nintendo Switch shortages around the world.

Screenshot 2020-05-01 at 1.41.10 AM

At first, he created Bird Bot for him and his friends to purchase Nintendo Switch consoles during the quarantine shortage. But then he put it on GitHub, where software developers upload and share each other’s creations. “I tweeted it out, got a bunch of likes and retweets, made a Discord group for it,” Nate said.

He has since donated $1,000 USD to the Make-A-Wish Foundation from the money he earned in donations gathered by developers who used the bot. “He wasn’t really prepared for how this took off,” his mom said. “He’s been blamed for causing hoarding of the Switches. He’s gotten angry messages, requests for interviews — and someone even tried to steal his code and pass it off as his own.” Nate has stated those who are hoarding Switch consoles will begin to feel the pressure when Nintendo ramps up production to meet demands.

He also hopes to inspire other kids to do something creative during the quarantine with his story. “The Internet is a great resource, try and think of something that hasn’t been done before, think of something that others can learn from,” he said. “The biggest takeaway from this is that you can create something really cool at home, on your own.”

Kylie Jenner Buys $36.5M USD Mansion Los Angeles Holmby Hills Property Makeup Mogul Kardashian Sisters Houses Homes Celebrity News Travis Scott Real Estate

Kylie Jenner has expanded her real estate collection once again with her latest purchase of a $36.5 million USD Los Angeles mansion in Holmby Hills.

As the world’s youngest “self-made billionaire,” Jenner has previously purchased a $13 million USD home in Beverly Hills with Travis Scott. The makeup mogul’s latest acquisition is almost three times the price of her other home, and was reportedly purchased at a negotiated price, as the “modern compound” was originally listed for $55 million USD, and was since reduced to $45 million USD. Jenner was then able to snap it up for $36.5 million USD thanks to her relationship with the seller, who previously sold her land.

Other sources also state that the property comes with a luxurious swimming pool and a garage big enough for 20 cars. Take a look inside Kylie Jenner’s Holmby Hills manor in the images below.

Beyoncé Hops on the Remix of Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage”

Screenshot 2020-04-29 at 9.17.17 PM

It was just a few months ago that Megan Thee Stallion filed a lawsuit against her label 1501 Certified Entertainment and the suspicious specifics of her contract. That didn’t prevent the rising rapper from debuting a brand new project — in fact, she released one in spite of the entire situation. What resulted was the short but sweet and solid nonetheless SUGA that clocked in just above 20 minutes with nine tracks. “Savage” ended up garnering some serious momentum and created its own moment. Now a fellow Houstonian and international icon Beyoncé has blessed the track for an official remix.

On “Savage (Remix)”, Beyoncé delivers two show-stopping verses and sings as if to take the savage title literally. Megan also released a coinciding visualizer that you can watch above. Back in March, she delivered her self-directed “Captain Hook” music video and joined Tyga for his explicit “FREAK” single. Listen to the surefire hit and stay tuned for more.

These are the 6 new possible symptoms of the coronavirus the CDC added to its List

UPDATE – NEWS

Chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat and a loss of taste or smell.

Those are the six new symptoms the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention cautioned could be signs of the coronavirus.

The additions come as health experts’ understanding of the confounding disease evolves. The CDC previously listed fever, cough and shortness of breath as symptoms.

Shortness of breath was tweaked to “shortness of breath or difficulty breathing”  by the CDC.

What we know about COVID-19: What we know about coronavirus keeps changing. Here’s all the things you may have missed.Another more recent phenomenon: purple or blue lesions on a patient’s feet and toes, most commonly appearing in children and young adults, dubbed “COVID toes.”

Though experts can’t pinpoint the condition, some hypothesized that it could be excess inflammation, a clotting of blood vessels or a thrombotic disorder known as purpura fulminans.

Some doctors reported that the virus may trigger sudden strokes in adults in their 30s and 40s, which could be a result of blood clotting issues.

“The virus seems to be causing increased clotting in the large arteries, leading to severe stroke,” Dr. Thomas Oxley told CNN.

“Our report shows a sevenfold increase in incidence of sudden stroke in young patients during the past two weeks. Most of these patients have no past medical history and were at home with either mild symptoms (or in two cases, no symptoms) of COVID,” said Oxley, a neurosurgeon at Mount Sinai Health System in New York.

Canadian swimmer Maggie MacNeil swims to world gold

Canadian swimmer Maggie MacNeil swims to world gold

GWANGJU, Korea, Republic Of — Maggie MacNeil exceeded her expectations at the world aquatics championships. And then some.

The 19-year-old from London, Ont., competing on her first senior national team, stunned many observers by winning the women’s 100 metre butterfly Monday. MacNeil also earned Canada its first gold medal of the competition and surprised herself along the way.

“Definitely not,” MacNeil said when asked if she saw the accomplishment coming. “I was hoping to get to a semifinal and maybe make a final.

“I felt good in warmups but emotionally I’ve never been so nervous (before final).”

MacNeil set a Canadian record with a time of 55.83 seconds, 0.39 seconds ahead of reigning Olympic champion and world-record holder Sarah Sjostrom of Sweden.

Emma McKeon of Australia was third. Sjostrom had won the title four times.

Sjostrom took it out strong, dipping under her world-record pace on the first lap, while MacNeil was in fifth. But MacNeil roared back with the fastest closing lap — 29.06 — of the eight-woman final and touched first.

“Rikako never give up” it read, with hearts decorating their palms. Sjostrom came up with the idea.

Ikee announced in February that she has leukemia. She was the world junior champion in the 100 fly and had the fastest time in the world last year. She is aiming to return in time to compete in the Tokyo Olympics.

“We’re hoping this will show that we’re supporting her and we’re here if she needs anything,” said MacNeil.

Canada captured a second medal later Monday when U.S-Canadian dual citizen Sydney Pickrem took bronze in the women’s 200-metre individual medley behind Hungarian star Katinka Hosszu and Ye Shiwen of China.

Nicknamed “The Iron Lady” for her relentless workload, Hosszu won in two minutes 7.53 seconds.

Marcus Stroman pushes back against ‘negative narrative’ amid trade rumours

Toronto Blue Jays star Marcus Stroman is rejecting the idea that he's on the trade block because of his personality. (Getty Images)

Toronto Blue Jays ace Marcus Stroman is pushing back against the perception that his personality is one of the contributing factors to why he’s on the trade block.

A fan listened to “Tim and Sid” and interpreted that Sportsnet’s Tim Micallef was suggesting that Stroman should be traded because of “cultural” reasons, a notion that Toronto’s lone all-star rejected entirely.
