A security guard at a Family Dollar store in Flint, Michigan, was shot and killed after telling a customer to wear a state-mandated face mask, police said.
Calvin Munerlyn, 43, died at a local hospital after he was shot in the head Friday, said Michigan State Police Lt. David Kaiser.
The shooter and a second suspect remain at large, Kaiser told CNN on Monday.
Witnesses at the store told police that Munerlyn got into a verbal al
tercation with a woman because she was not wearing a mask, said Genesee County prosecutor David Leyton. Surveillance video confirms the incident, Leyton said.
Family Dollar did not respond to a request for comment.

Update – TransportationÂ

After suspending its shared ride option in the U.S. and Canada in order to limit the spread of COVID-19, Uber is anticipating a restart to its ridesharing business by requiring drivers and riders to wear face masks when using the platform in the U.S. Executives approved the new policy in a meeting last week and plan to introduce it in the coming weeks.
Once the policy is enforced, Uber drivers and delivery workers will be required to wear a face mask or a face covering, like a mask or bandana, whether or not they have received a company-provided mask.
Uber, like other travel companies, is preparing how it will return back to normal as the country begins to reopen for business. New York University epidemiology professor Robyn Gershon explains that âabsolutely positively everyone should be wearing a maskâ in a vehicle and believes that new initiatives, such as plastic barriers or divisions, should be employed to protect both drivers and passengers. âWeâll communicate updates directly to users when ready, but in the meantime we continue to urge all riders and drivers to wear masks or face coverings when using Uber,â said Andrew Hasbun, Uberâs head of safety communications.

Trumpâs statement was in response to a submitted video question from a Fox News viewer about why he uses harsh rhetoric when dealing with the press corps.
âThey always said, âNo one got treated worse than Lincoln,ââ Trump said, while pointing up to Lincolnâs statue, âI believe I am treated worse.â

On Sunday, Trump called the reportersâ questions during the press briefings âdisgraceful,â without specifying which journalists he was talking about.
The president added that if he was âkindâ to the press he would be âwalked off the stageâ and went on to say that â94% to 95%â of the press is âhostile.

Uber Technologies Inc. UBER, -4.68% announced in a filing Monday that it planned to discontinue operations for its Eats food delivery business in seven countries as of June 4. Those markets are the Czech Republic, Egypt, Honduras, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Uruguay and Ukraine. This action won’t affect the company’s ride-hailing business in those regions.
Bernstein analyst Mark Shmulik wrote that Uber’s move “should be a positive signal to investors that the company is heading in the right direction here” and he expects “this is likely only Round 1 of ongoing efforts.” Shmulik will be watching for further announcements, which he thinks could focus on Europe or Latin America.
