Montreal’s first snowfall of the season turned Highway 19 into chaos Sunday afternoon, when about 20 vehicles slammed into each other near the Papineau-Leblanc Bridge. The crash happened around 1:30 p.m., with Quebec provincial police blaming slick, icy roads and poor visibility for the massive pileup.
One driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries, and traffic was snarled for hours as crews cleared the scene. Investigators are still looking into the exact cause.
