After arriving in Quebec yesterday, the Canadian Forces Snowbirds are scheduled to fly over Montreal on Thursday, landing at around 1:45 p.m. They will take off from yesterday’s landing point in Saguenay, reaching Quebec City at 10:30 a.m. where they will make a landing. They’ll head west at 12:45 p.m., passing Trois-Rivières, Drummondville, and Granby before reaching the metropolis.

They’ll finish the day by circling Ottawa and Gatineau.

“We’ve been asked to do what we do best… inspire Canadians,” said Lieutenant-Colonel Mike French, Commanding Officer, Canadian Forces Snowbirds.

“Through Operation Inspiration, we not only want to salute the front-line health-care workers, first responders, and essential workers, but also all Canadians doing their part to stop the spread of COVID-19.”

“We want Canadians to know we’re in this with you,” he concluded.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced Thursday that the federal government has reached an agreement “with all the provinces and territories” to give a wage increase to low-income essential workers across Canada.

“We are relying on them now more than ever, and that is why the Government of Canada is working with provinces and territories to provide them with a much-needed wage boost.”

Quebec has already announced a wage increase for some of its essential workers to close the gap between their current pay and the amount distributed through the federal Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) to individuals whose jobs have been impacted by the health crisis.

The Toyota RAV4 is the world’s best-selling SUV but it’s not necessarily the most eye-catching one.

Thankfully, a Japanese tuning shop by the name of Albermo has developed a bodykit to make the Toyota stand out from the pack. The bodykit, dubbed the XR51, takes inspiration from the Lamborghini Urus and adds some flair to the RAV4.

Priced at ¥240,000 JPY (approximately $2,600 USD), the body kit mirrors design cues from Lamborghini’s super-SUV. The bumper takes on the same shape as the prized four-door, with a gloss black covering designed to veil the Toyota Safety Sense system, effectively mimicking the Urus’ rear.

Reports state that visitors were able to play with the cubs and met zookeeper Erik Cowie and the park’s current owners, Jeff and Lauren Lowe.

President Trump said Wednesday the Justice Department would continue to argue that the Affordable Care Act should be overturned in a Supreme Court case that will be heard this fall, resisting advice from Attorney General Bill Barr to pursue a ruling over a narrower part of the legislation.

Facts

With the Supreme Court set to rule on a lawsuit challenging the ACA in the fall, Trump is standing firm in his commitment to getting the law overturned.

The lawsuit, brought by a group of Republican state attorneys general, argues that the health law was invalidated when Congress eliminated the law’s tax penalty for people who failed to attain health insurance coverage.

He added, “Obamacare, we run it really well… it’s still lousy health care.”

Trump told White House reporters “we want to terminate health care under Obamacare and replace it,” according to Politico reporter Alice Ollstein.

A Kaiser Foundation tracking poll in April seems to confirm those fears, with 50% of Americans saying they approve of the ACA while 39% say they disapprove.

Former Vice President Joe Biden, Trump’s presumptive Democratic opponent, issued a statement on Wednesday denouncing the lawsuit. “Trump has decided he’d rather destroy President Obama’s legacy than protect the health care of millions upon millions of Americans,” he wrote in a Medium post.

Airbnb is cutting nearly 25 percent of its workforce in a round of layoffs, as announced in a letter to employees from CEO and co-founder Brian Chesky on Tuesday. The company’s business has been “hit hard” in recent months, with Chesky already projecting this year to generate less than half of the revenue from 2019.

While these actions were necessary, it became clear that we would have to go further when we faced two hard truths:

Chesky statement:

1. We don’t know exactly when travel will return.
2. When travel does return, it will look different.

Employees are slated to receive 14 weeks base pay, and the company will cover health insurance for a limited time pending each respective country’s healthcare regulations. Airbnb has also launched various resources to assist individuals with finding their next role, including an “Alumni Talent Directory,” “Alumni Placement Team,” four months of career and job placement services, and more.

MANHART has taken the RSQ8, which is equipped with a 4.0 liter V8 bi-turbo engine originally producing 592 BHP, and has given it a total power output of 900 HP and 1080 Nm of torque.

Rounding out the list of upgrades is an improved leather interior with golden or red accents and an optional decal kit.
