Apple Shifts AirPod Production to Vietnam

Update – Tech

Apple Shifts AirPod Production Vietnam headphones technology hi tech bluetooth wireless listening music china shirt development accessories

Apple has moved a significant portion of its production of AirPods to Vietnam. This news follows an announcement of the tech giant’s new, upcoming version of the wireless headphones unveiled just a few weeks ago.

Starting from this quarter, close to 30 percent of Apple’s original AirPods will be made in Vietnam, rather than China.

While China still remains the main manufacturing base for Apple, sources have reported that the company has been asking suppliers since last year to move 15 to 30 percent of its Chinese production to other areas of Southeast Asia.

Apart from Vietnam, the company has also been looking to other countries, like India, last October, where many iPhone XRs were assembled.

Little Richard, Founding Father of Rock Who Broke Musical Barriers, Dead at 87

little richard dead dies age music legend icon rock n roll

Little Richard has passed away at the age of 87, as confirmed by his son Danny Penniman. Born Richard Wayne Penniman, the music icon came to prominence in the 1950s and influenced everyone from Elton John to the Beatles. His cause of death is still unconfirmed.

The artist was born on December 5, 1932 in Macon, Georgia as one of 12 children. He left home at the age of 13 and took up the moniker “Little Richard” at 15. By 1951, he signed his first record deal with RCA.

However he gave up music in 1957 to become an ordained minister. He later returned with gospel music, and went back to secular rock music in 1964. In the 1970s he struggled with drug use and appeared in the documentary Let the Good Times Roll.

At times in his career he denounced LGBTQ lifestyles, while at other times identifying as gay and omnisexual.

His family has yet to announce plans for a memorial.

Quebec’s Unemployment Rate

Update – News

Article Featured Image

Statistics Canada has released an astonishing survey of the labour market. In April, the unemployment rate in Quebec hit 17%, “the highest rate in the province since comparable data became available in 1976, and the highest among all provinces,” the government agency writes. “Compared with February, employment declined by more than 10% in all provinces, led by Quebec,” with a loss of a staggering 821,000 jobs.

Nationwide, the “unemployment rate rose 5.2 percentage points in April to 13%.”

In the Montreal census metropolitan area, “the unemployment rate was 18.2% in April, an increase of 13.4 percentage points since February.”

The city also “recorded the largest decline” in employment — 404,000 jobs lost — of Canada’s three largest cities.

These young adults, Statistics Canada notes, are “more likely to hold less secure jobs in hard-hit industries such as accommodation and food services.”

The labour force survey also offered insight into Canadians’ mindsets.

As provinces move to gradually reopen businesses, they may also need to consider measures to revive their economies and further aid unemployed residents.

Found Myself Back Again

Update – Life

Screenshot 2020-05-09 at 7.55.30 AM

Sometimes you need to talk to a three-year-old just so you can understand life again.

This month will mark a year, when I lost myself. When I felt that it wasn’t me anymore. Last was a year that, my head was stolen from me. It was like I was given a mission to complete, which wasn’t my decision. The year went by day by day, night by night, feeling and thinking envy, mad, jealous, picky, annoy and the worst was judgement on myself.

At the end, I have found that growing up means being honest. About what I want. What I need. What I feel. Who I am.
