Versatile, physical Beck hopes to strut his skills in Argos defence

Update – National News

Teams such as the Argonauts get the green light, the best way, and in today’s times the only way, to evaluate players on their roster is by watching video.

For obvious reasons, the best evaluating tool involves field work and having players compete against one another in a training camp setting.

No one knows what the future holds for the CFL, but what is known is that a modified season will be held if a season could be held at all.

The CFL has already come out and announced how the earliest the league could start the 2020 regular season is September.

Player called Jason Beck Jr. hasn’t played in any CFL games.

He had a nice run at Eastern Michigan before playing in his final game in 2018.

There was some exposure with the Spring League and an invite to mini-camp by the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

There’s not a lot of tape on Beck, but there’s not much to dislike from a versatile defender who can line up at linebacker or drop into the back end and play in the secondary.

What the Argos have in Beck won’t be truly known until he’s able to get on the field and showcase his skills.

One of the areas the Argos’ new management team has tried to address is on the defensive side of the ball.

One of the areas involving the biggest changes is in the secondary.

Beck could be that wild card, a versatile, physical defender who runs to the ball.

He likes to play fast.

During a phone conversation, Beck expressed how he would love to play in the CFL.

Beck says he picked up the game at age seven.

He played quarterback and tight end.

In high school, Beck was asked to play both ways, but says his primary position was corner.

Mike Davis, Toronto’s new defensive line coach, reached out to Beck through Instagram when Davis worked for the Riders.

While he’s not completely comfortable with the CFL’s game and its rules, Beck has at least been exposed to the pace.

Stay tune for more.

A New Colorway of sacai’s Nike Vaporwaffle Surfaces Online

Update – Footwear

After teasing its latest Nike collaboration at Paris Fashion Week, sacai’s Vaporwaffle has surfaced online in a previously-unseen colorway.

The sneaker was previously believed to be called the VaporPegasus, though sacai representatives confirmed to Highsnobiety that the collaboration will be officially known as the Vaporwaffle.

The Chitose Abe-helmed brand has turned things up a notch for FW20, though, as the outsole appears to be slightly skewed at the toe tip. A rather hefty midsole looks to split at the heel, sneaker a deconstructed aesthetic as well.

As well as the LDWaffle, which sold out in four different colorways and has appeared on sneaker re-sell websites for exorbitant sums, Nike and sacai also crafted a slightly less popular Blazer Mid.
