Quebec is unlocking $150 million to allow schools to stock up on digital equipment for the next school year.

According to the ministry’s estimates, there are nearly 80,000 students who currently do not have access to the equipment necessary to continue their distance learning. With this sum, it would be possible to acquire at least 200,000 tablets and laptops.

Although the scenarios for the start of the school year are not yet final, the minister has not hid from the start that he wants all students to return to class in September, but his news release states that it is important that the school network be ready for anything next fall.

Priority will be given to aquiring tablets and laptops. School service centres must therefore make their needs known to the Ministry of Education by June 19.

Westwood High School teacher Catherine Hogan sees this as a positive move but  wnats the momentum of this to continue

“I think it’s absolutely a necessity and I’m really happy the government’s putt aside the money. But I would like to also see them accountable to that. They’ve said in the past that that they didn’t have money for more technology for students, so I’d like to see this sort of thing continue,” said Hogan.

Official looks at the upcoming Air Jordan 1 Low “Light Smoke Grey” have landed — but they arrive different from what we expected. Having previewed the pair late last year alongside a “poor man’s Dior” mid-cut, we were expecting the release to arrive with perforated mid panels and toe boxes, but official pics have revealed a classic smooth leather in its place. Everything else remains unchanged. Now, we’re not quite sure how or why it’s happened — but we’re all for it, because perforated leather really, really sucks.

As for the makeup, we’re seeing soft leathers all around: white at the mid panel, “Light Smoke Grey” at the toe and Swoosh, and black on the collar and overlays. Nylon tongues and liners also arrive in the title color, as does a metallic-like embroidery at the heel. laces, medial lacestay and tongue branding all arrive in complimentary blacks, and the pair is capped off with white midsoles and grey rubber outsoles.

NASA astronauts board International Space Station in historic SpaceX mission.

The hatch was opened at 1:02 p.m. ET. After making final preparations, the astronauts were warmly welcomed aboard the orbiting space lab by fellow NASA astronaut Chris Cassidy, commander of the Space Station’s Expedition 63 and Russian cosmonauts Anatoly Ivanishin and Ivan Vagner. Behnken was the first to enter the space station.

During a welcome ceremony, Hurley said that the mission can serve as an inspiration at a difficult time when the world has been battling the coronavirus pandemic. “This is just one effect, that we can show for the ages, in this dark time that we have had over the last few months, to kind of inspire, especially these young people in the United States,” he said.
