Serving as a sequel to the retailerâs lauded Air Jordan 1 release back in 2018, leading the upcoming collaboration is the âOff Noir/Brigade Blue-Dark Smoke Grey-Light Fusion Redâ accompanied by an unrevealed âGuava Ice/Light Bone-Brigade Blue-Light Fusion Redâ colorway that will be exclusive to Union.
Although not much is known about the upcoming take, many are noting that it could be based on one of Tinker Hatfieldâs original sketches. It is also expected that the collaborative release will feature a matching Union x Jordan Brand apparel collection.
Priced at $250 USD, the Union x Air Jordan 4 Retro âOff Noirâ is set to release August 15 at Union locations and from select retailers.
Hill was selected third overall in the 1994 NBA draft by the Pistons â and played there until 2000, when he was traded to the Orlando Magic â so both of these retro silhouettes are dressed in period-appropriate color schemes that nod to the Pistonsâ uniforms from 1996-2001.
Dressed in an appealing mix of teal, red, yellow, white and black, the Grant Hill 3, also referred to as the FILA 97, serves up a healthy dose of retro hoops style. A full set of Pistons colors appears above a large white mudguard with elongated oval graphics and a FILA logo. More colorful FILA branding runs down the tongue as well.
The FILA Grant Hill 3 and V94M â3ONE3â are both available now via the FILA webstore. The Grant Hill 3 is priced at $125 USD, while the V94M arrives at $90 USD.
Disney has delayed the theatrical release of âMulanâ for a third time, all but officially putting an end to Hollywoodâs hopes of salvaging a summer movie season.
The studioâs live-action remake was slated to debuted in theaters on July 24. Instead, âMulanâ will hit the big screen on Aug. 21.
âWhile the pandemic has changed our release plans for âMulanâ and we will continue to be flexible as conditions require, it has not changed our belief in the power of this film and its message of hope and perseverance,â said Disneyâs co-chairman and chief creative officer Alan Horn and co-chairman Alan Bergman. âDirector Niki Caro and our cast and crew have created a beautiful, epic, and moving film that is everything the cinematic experience should be, and thatâs where we believe it belongs â on the world stage and the big screen for audiences around the globe to enjoy together.â
The move comes after news that Warner Bros. postponed the release of âTenet,â  a sci-fi epic from director Christopher Nolan, for a second time. That film â starring John David Washington and Robert Pattinson â is now expected to debut on Aug. 12.
Movie theaters across the country, and the world, have been closed for most of 2020 to help stop the spread of coronavirus. Major cinema chains in the U.S., such as AMC, Regal and Cinemark, have been aiming to resume business in July. When they do open, itâs unclear how eager patrons will be to return to the movies.
âMulan,â which cost $200 million to make, is expected to strongly resonate in China. But Chinese movie theaters are all currently closed, without a known reopening date. Given the importance of âMulanâ in China, it would have been risky to release the movie and leave Chinese audiences behind.
Disney has moved around a slew of upcoming titles in the past few months, including âThe Eternals,â âJungle Cruiseâ and âIndiana Jones 5.â Since production has been halted worldwide for months due to the global health crisis, some of those films would not have been ready to debut in theaters by their target release dates.
Like the 1998 animated version, âMulanâ follows a warrior who disguises herself as a man to spare her elderly father from having to serve in the military. Itâs the first of Disneyâs live-action remakes to be rated PG-13, due to sequences of violence.
