The 21-year-old patient lost his organ during a traditional circumcision ceremony. In December 2014, a surgical team from Stellenbosch University and Tygerberg Hospital completed the complex 9-hour operation. Within three months, he regained full urinary and sexual function—and soon after, welcomed a healthy baby.
